BCI (Better Cotton Initiative)
Mittapalli Spinners Ltd has been BCI (BETTER COTTON INITIATIVE) Certified in Dec2016 with a BCI number 1002141 for producing BCI yarn by purchasing FP bales from BCI certified Ginners.
The farmers are educated to grow cotton by conserving water and soil. The farmers are then BCI certified. BCI certified Ginners procure raw cotton from them and gin and make FP bales. From them we procure FP bales and spin yarn and supply to the BCI certified fabric manufacturers. BCI brings together farmers, ginners, spinners, weavers, processors, garments, cut & sew, manufacturers, retailers, brands and grassroots organisations in a unique global community committed to developing Better Cotton as a sustainable mainstream commodity.
